Since this is the lazy girl's version of healthy snacks ideas, I've prepared a bullet list of tips for a quick and easy read! :)
  • All whole, real foods are the perfect healthy snack! Basically, any fruit or vegetable is way better for your health than any type of vending machine snack. But, some fruits are easier to eat than others! I sometimes literally don't eat some fruits if I need to cut, peel and spend more than 3 minutes before I can actually eat it. Talk about being lazy... But I got you covered! :)
  • My favorite lazy fruits (that require the minimum effort to eat) are bananas, raspberries, strawberries, and my new favorite: persimmons! These yellowy-orange, tomato-shaped fruit helps strengthen immunity, is good for healthy digestion and full of antioxidants! They are also known as kaki or sharon. Very interesting and delicious - I think they are a good alternative to apples. And, Fall is just the right season to enjoy fresh persimmons!
    • If you're craving something savory and crunchy, you cannot go wrong with popcorn! Popcorn is the ultimate happy food, right? Not the butter and salt loaded version, which is full of unhealthy fats and unnecessary sodium. Good news is that they can be an ideal healthy snack!
  • For healthy popcorn, less is more! To make home-made popcorn, you start with plain popcorn kernels that you can find at most grocery stores. If you prefer to go with the lazy but healthy route, you can also find guilt-free microwave popcorn at most grocery stores. They are ridiculously easy to make. Here is a list of the best tasting and healthiest popcorn you can buy.
  • BONUS: Check out this 30 Healthy Popcorn Recipes for super fun ideas from coconut curry to lemony kale popcorn by Simply Fresh Dinners.
Hope this is helpful for you! Please let me know if you try any of these recipes and don't forget to tell me your favorite healthy snacks in the comments below!
