Have you ever wished to be an early riser, workout and start the day right? I'd found this to be nearly impossible a few months ago. Even now, it's hard to believe that I've actually nailed this habit and even writing about it. But here it is! Why even wake up early? Well, you probably already know it's good for you - both mentally, & physically. You know you can get much more things done if you wake up just an hour early each day. So, the question comes down to how to actually really do it? One of the most important things is to define your reasons for waking up early. It really gets easy to just jump out of the bed once you remind yourself why you should get up instead of hitting the snooze button! Some of the reasons may be starting better sleep routines, going for a walk/run, preparing a healthy breakfast and having some quiet time before the craziness of the day starts. Do what feels good for you. Experiment with waking up 10-15 minutes earlier a few days until you find the right balance for a great resting sleep. I used to force myself to wake up at 5am. I HATED it. I knew that I'd spend the whole day super grumpy; it just wasn't for me. Instead of giving up on it, I tried setting my alarm to 6am, 6.30am, 7am and just experimented with it for a while. I've now settled on going to bed around 10pm and waking up around 6am.
